Järvenpää funeral home (Järvenpään hautaustoimisto) is a traditional family business in its fourth generation. The funeral home is centrally located in the centre of Järvenpää and is easy to reach by train, bus, or car. The premises are prominently located at street level along Helsingintie. Entrance on the Helsingintie side. By public transport: a 2-minute walk from Järvenpää railway station. Accessible (step-free) entrance.
Parking
7 free 2-hour parking-disc spaces right in front of the premises (there are almost always spaces available). If the parking-disc spaces are full, there is free visitor parking in the premises' own car park (at the end of the building).

Caskets
Our wide selection includes upholstered and hardwood coffins suitable for burial and cremation. We have a wide range of coffins from small companies and larger manufacturers. Coffins starting at €195.
Urns
Our extensive urn selection includes urns suitable for urn burial, scattering, memorial groves and sea burial. Most of our urns are made by small businesses, which guarantees a diverse selection. Urns starting at €49.
Flowers
Our flowers are made locally by professionals and are delivered to the casket well in advance of the event.
Clothing
If you don't want to dress your loved one in their own clothes for their final journey, you will find several good options for clothing for the deceased in our selection for both men and women. Clothing starting at 32€.
Headstones
We handle new tombstones, memorial plaques, and engravings, gilding, and silvering of wax stones.

Chapels
The Järvenpää cemetery chapel is under renovation, and in 2026 funeral services are exceptionally held at the following venues:
- Järvenpää Church – church hall for 625 guests, plus a 30-person chapel next to the lobby
- Elävä Vesi Chapel, Järvenpää
- the cemetery tent
- directly at the cemetery
During this exceptional period, the parish provides free transportation of the deceased from the cemetery cold storage to the church or chapel and back after the service.
Cemeteries
Järvenpää Cemetery (Kaukotie 47–48) is the area's most popular burial place. Burial options:
- Coffin graves
- Urn graves
- Memorial grove – ashes are placed without an urn, so no urn purchase is needed
- Scattering – ashes are scattered without an urn
- Non-denominational burial area – for those outside the church
Grave matters are handled through the cemetery office (+358 50 441 7929, Mon–Fri 9:00–14:00).
Crematorium
Järvenpää has no crematorium of its own, so cremation takes place at nearby crematoria. The crematorium is usually chosen based on where the service or the grave is, and we handle the crematorium booking on the family's behalf. Prices for a deceased from Järvenpää:
- Hietaniemi Crematorium, Helsinki: 320 € – the same price for everyone regardless of home municipality, no cold storage fees. Free cardboard urn. Usually the most economical and practical option.
- Rauhanummi Crematorium, Hyvinkää: 490 €
- Honkanummi Crematorium, Vantaa: jointly owned by the Helsinki and Vantaa parishes – the reduced price applies only to Helsinki and Vantaa residents, so for a Järvenpää resident 500 € + cold storage fee 50 €/starting week, i.e. from 550 € in total.
The urn is collected from the crematorium for the burial.
